A quiet place

I seem to have developed a sudden need to find angels around me...so what better place to look for them than in a snowy quiet place. These beautiful statues were found in St. Thomas Cemetary watching over their loved ones on New Year's Eve. Hope they are watching over all of us as we head into 2009. Happy New Year to all.

The Whole Bunch!

Our annual attempt at getting a Christmas Eve photo of the entire clan...thanks to my brother Tony's skills and patience in trying to corral us all into one photo at the end of a very busy night...Merry Christmas to all...now everyone go home :)

Some of my favorite ornaments

Some people collect angels, some collect snowmen, but I am fascinated by Disney's great villianess's. I have been hooked since I went to see 101 Dalmations when I was little. My sisters all fell in love with the cute puppies...but not me...I just thought Cruella was magnificant...what can I say...it's a little warped but different strokes.

First Snowstorm of the Season

Well. the first snowstorm came this weekend...and while Dave was out snowblowing, I chose to grab my camera and travel up and down the road taking pictures of the lit up houses in the snow...ahhh...doesn't our little house look warm and cozy.

Such a sweet face..and yet sooo much trouble for me ...this is Chloe, who loves to cause me untold angst. She recently went through so major medical issues. Being her nursemaid for the past two weeks, (i.e. holding hot compresses to her little head, giving medications twice a day while trying not to to get mauled, "fun" return trips to the vet) has been sooo much fun. As I recall, this was Lauren and Leah's cat...so how come I am doing all the work!

Craft Night @ My Studio

A bunch of us got together to make Ribbon Ornaments on Friday Night...some of us did better than others in this undertaking. For a group of teachers and paraprofessionals sometimes we have a really hard time following directions. And to think we are in charge of our nation's future! Here are three of my most successful students, Ellen, Linda and Cheryl. (My, doesn't Ellen look studious in her red glasses and leopard print)

Vision Board

If you've read "The Secret" you might know what a Vision Board is. A couple of weeks ago we all got together at my friend Cheryl's house to create our individual vision boards...everyone's was unique to their own personalities...here's my attempt....as you can see all I really envision is creating some artwork, while wearing the perfect little black dress, with good music playing in the background....(Oh, and yes...maybe 20 lbs. lighter on the scale)...hence the grapefruit!

Christmas Ornaments

I Love mixing patterns of colorful scrapbook papers into decoupaged ornaments...thought I would move away from the traditional red and greens to some lime greens and hot pinks...a little irridescent glitter and ephemera added to the mix and "voila"...a box full of color!

Our Girls

Every year I try to take a picture at Uncle Tony's house on Thanksgiving in hopes of using it for my christmas cards. My daughters are very uncooperative resulting in a need for bribery. Hopefully this years price will remain low.
